Olivia Cuenca
Integrative Psychologist
About me:
From a young age I was deeply curious about human behaviour and the power of the mind. I experienced a major health challenge in my teenage years where I was diagnosed with Scoliosis and had to wear a back race for 21hrs a day over a 2 year period. This was a catalyst to diving into my healing journey, where I discovered the benefits of integrative therapeutic techniques. I quickly learned the balance of Western and Eastern healing was the perfect combination for deep healing.
Seven years of study and a passion for serving both youth and adults led to me receiving my registration as a registered psychologist.
My approach
My healing approach is to get to the root of a problem, rather than solely treat the symptoms. I meet clients where they are at in session and help them implement positive changes towards the direction of their goals.
Tools I use:
Below are a range of techniques I incorporate into my sessions:
- EMDR
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Positive Psychology
- Attachment Theory
Challenges I can help with:
I can assist those looking for support with a range of challenges, including, behavioural difficulties, anxiety, depression, social skills, relationship healing, phobias, trauma, effects of stress, self-love, emotional regulation, physical/chronic pain, and those undergoing difficult life transitions.
