Every Christmas at Beyond Self we support Women & Children First with our raffle. This amazing local community based service does great work helping women and children escape violence and abuse by providing a safe space akin to home. 

We want to create a permanent drop off box for donations from our little community. We have been in touch with the team at WCF and they have requested the following items. 

Gift Cards – Gift cards are always needed for groceries – Woolworths, Coles or Aldi as they distribute $3000-4000 of vouchers per month. 

Bowling or movie vouchers for children which they give out in school holidays or for birthdays. This is one of the best ways to help out! 

Toiletries & Non-Perishable Food Items Items like shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, brand new regular size bath towels, bathmats, hand towels are also needed.

Non-perishable foods (not canned food as they have plenty) e.g. 1 or 3 litres of long life milk, pasta, pasta sauce, sweet biscuits, multi pack chips, cake/muffin mix, muesli bars for school lunchboxes. 

Cleaning products 

Chux wipes, multi-purpose spray, toilet cleaner, dishwashing liquid (all small size).  They farewell women from the refuge with cleaning supplies as they are costly to buy all at once when setting up a new home. 

We hope to collect things in the lead up to Christmas and hopefully get this collection to them in early December so they can utilise these over the festive season and summer school holidays.
