Neuro Emotional Technique
Our minds and bodies are intertwined on a level that most of us are not even aware of. We often think we are making sound logical decisions on a day to day basis, but in reality, our subconscious mind is running the show. Every experience we’ve had, every feeling we’ve felt, is tightly stored away in our subconscious memory. This is what is shaping our present time decisions. Most of the time, this is a beneficial process which helps us to make the best choices and decisions in the future. However, when the original experience is stressful or traumatic, the way this event is stored can be unhealthy and influence us to act in a reactive stress pattern.
Over the last several decades, considerable scientific research has proven the extent of neurophysiological changes in response to emotions and stress. We all know what it feels like to be stressed. And in this day and age, it’s not always something specific that stresses us out, it can just be “everything”. This means the stress is never-ending. There is no obvious signal to our body to switch off the stress response. Being stuck in this state of chronic stress can lead to experiencing anxiety, procrastination, poor decision making, restlessness, and even panic. Emotions are amazing and are a completely normal part of the human experience. They allow us to experience all of life, the ups and downs. We want to feel emotions, we just don’t want the inappropriate physiological changes that come with them.
As chiropractors, we often see physical ailments that improve but do not completely heal even with extensive physical therapy. When the body is holding on to emotional stress, it undermines the healing capacity for physical injuries and disease.
Neuro Emotional Technique is a stress reduction treatment aimed at separating these physiological changes from the emotions we feel, allowing both the body and mind to reach full healing potential.
The mind and body are one, we cannot heal one without addressing the other.online booking
